Indian Summer
Year: 2011 Holiday: Fall Shared by: Breenbaubles
Hmm...here it is late August...too early for me to put up all the Halloween, pumpkins and turkeys just yet...but I'm getting so anxious to get started on the fall decorating and I wanted to put up something new...so I was inspired to come up with this small "Indian Summer" display. I think it turned out really well and it's putting me in the mood for autumn to hopefully arrive soon! Pam A.

| My "Indian Summer" display. A little Asian and a little autumn. I pulled together a lot of different things that I already had and they all work together really well I think. I love the mix of color and texture...it has a nice opulent look to it I think. |
| The original inspiration for the display was a great trim I found that's sheer brown embroidered with pearls, orange beads, sequins and copper and gold metallic threads in a kind of Indian looking paisley pattern. It was love at first sight and I knew immediately what to put with it...the chinoiserie brown and persimmon Breens of course! |
| A lovely Jay Strongwater vase with copper and gold dipped fall leaves and a brown willow plate in the background. |
| A small filigree frame that I made into a mirror and a gold L'Objet pine cone ornament studded with Swarovski crystals. Some tassels seemed to fit the theme perfectly too. |
| The lampshade is decorated with a necklace made of Swarovski crystals. |
| The orange Inge Glas bird on the pagoda candle holder really pops! |
