Easter 2011 at Marsha's Vineyard
Year: 2011 Holiday: Easter Shared by: marshavnyd
This year two new trees 'sprouted' at Marsha's Vineyard. I finished my large egg topiary tree. It's amazing how many ornaments it can hold. The second new tree is a smaller version of the Williams-Sonoma white fabric wrapped tree that I've used in the past to display mini eggs. I love this new size and displayed mini eggs with full-sized Silhouette eggs. Easter at the Vineyard mixes Breens with many other pieces. papier mache, felt, mixed media, etc. I hope you enjoy them.

| Pottery Barn Kids offered this tree and it's a smaller version of my Williams-Sonoma tree. I love Silhouette eggs mixed wtih mini eggs. |
| I decided to try making my own decorative ornament hangers wtih lampwork beads and crystals. It was fun to do and I was pleased with the results. |
| Here's the bigger version of the PBK tree. It's the catch all for mini eggs that aren't chosen for other displays. |
| I love these three papier mache eggs, by Lance Perry. Seeing them hanging above my sink makes me smile. They definitely have attitude! |
| We were in Oregon over Easter so we had a pre-Easter dinner this year. I finally found a use for the boxwood and mini egg garland that I've had for years. I decorated our chandelier and disguised the fishing line that suspends this year's carrot ornaments. |
| The pink and black tree landed in the dining room this year. Moving things around each year is the best part of decorating. |
| Tah, dah! The newly completed large egg topiary to go with the smaller version from 2008. I used a Trish O'Donnell felt chick and bunny to top the topiaries. I love finding new ways to use pieces that I've had for years. |
| A close-up of the small topiary tree. I wrap the core of my feather trees with tiny clear lights so that the feathers don't get smashed. |
| And, a close-up of the large version. |
| Yup, old faithful is still kickin'. This year it holds the majority of my larger eggs. |
| The bright egg candles from Cost Plus were perfect with some of my favorite papier mache bunnies. The colors remind me of one of my favorite mini eggs, Spring Stripes. |
| This little Dept 56 tree has been around almost as long as 'ol faithful'. I love it because you can really see the eggs and change themes from year to year. |
